As consumers in the United States rush around to snatch up holiday deals, many will be looking at smartphones as gifts for their loved ones. One of of the most sought after handsets will be the Samsung Galaxy Note 2, and it looks as if AT&T customers can now pick up a Galaxy Note 2 for $50 cheaper through Amazon Wireless.
The AT&T Galaxy Note 2 with a standard two-year contract costs $299.99 from the carrier, but Amazon Wireless is offering the phablet for $249.99 with a two-year contract. The deal is for the 16GB variant and seems to only apply to the AT&T Galaxy Note 2. Amazon Wireless lists still lists the other carrier versions at $299.99.
The Samsung Galaxy Note 2 is currently available through the four U.S. carriers AT&T, T-Mobile, Sprint, and U.S. Cellular. T-Mobile prices its Galaxy Note at $369.99 after a $50 mail-in rebate.
Verizon, the nation's largest wireless service provider, is the only carrier that still hasn't released the Galaxy Note 2. The carrier is currently taking pre-orders for its Galaxy Note 2, and has listed a ship date of November 27. The Verizon Galaxy Note 2 is expected to be available in stores on November 29 for $299.99.
The Samsung Galaxy Note 2 has done incredibly well despite its massive size, already selling over three million units.
The Samsung Galaxy Note 2 comes with a 5.55-inch HD Super AMOLED display and a 1.6GHz quad-core processor running Android 4.1.1 Jelly Bean. The Galaxy Note 2 should be receiving Android 4.2 in Q1 2013. The handset also sports an impressive 8-megapixel rear-facing camera and a 1.9-megapixel front-facing camera.
