As if McDonald's low-priced value meals are not great enough, in Taiwan you may get a unique experience. Your meal could be served-up by the McGoddess.

Wei Han Xu is the doll-faced part-time employee who is breaking the internet. Her big eyes and porcelain-like skin give have made her a viral sensation on the internet. Her dramatic features have garnered her a massive following in Taiwan, but has recently gone viral in the states.

Two days ago she write a post on her Instagram, admitting her shock for the international fame and gratitude from her fans. "In these few days, I received a lot of message from people that had different backgrounds. I was shocked because in my point of view it is just an old news In Taiwan. I would like to say thank you to all the attentions, thank you so much to concern about me."

According to International Business Times, men are rushing over to McDonald's to catch a glimpse of the anime-like girl. "Some of Wei's fans are travelling from far-flung places just to click selfies and take videos with her."

Her doll-like face is apparently magnified by the unconventional uniforms she wears at work. The McDonald's in Taiwan encourages a happy and fun environment so fans can often catch Xu in a cute costume to match. "McDonald's managers in Taiwan often encourage their female employees to dress as maids, cheerleaders and sailors," reports Daily News.

The college student first captured the attention of Rain Dog, a blogger, who shared her photos online. The snaps were soon shared via Facebook and other social media outlets gaining her thousands of followers - 61,000 on Instagram to be exact and subsequently guest appearances on television and game shows.

ABC News points out the "bizarre" aspect of the global following. Leslie Bow, English and Asian-American studies professor at the University of Wisconsin called the entire situation strange, emphasizing the "fetishistic" nature of people being fascinated by a woman who looks like a doll.

Bow also adds, "While colloquially we think of fetishism as evoking women's objectification, this case of fetishism also evokes Freudian notions of the uncanny: we feel unease when we're unsure if something is alive."

Surely, a living, breathing doll is considered spooky to most. Regardless, the McGoddess doesn't seem to mind.
