New Jersey Governor Chris Christy doesn't like Twinkies, or at least questions about the deliciously unhealthy Hostess snack. During a press conference on Friday, a reporter asked Christy what his thoughts were on Hostess filing for bankruptcy and the end of Twinkies.
"Really, seriously, you're not asking me about Hostess Twinkies, are you? What's the next question?" Christy responded. The second long exchange was so popular that the governor's office decided to post a video on the official YouTube channel, GlobalPost reported.
"I'm on Saturday Night Live enough," Christy continued. "You think you're getting me behind this microphone, having me talk about Twinkies? This is a setup."
The governor, who isn't a stranger to talk about his weight, managed to not answer the question regarding the snack. "It's bad that I even said the word Twinkie behind this microphone," he told reporters and the laughing crowd.
Hostess Brands, which makes Twinkies and other dessert snacks, announced on Friday that the company is going to downgrade operations and will lay off most of its 18,500 employees, the NY Daily News reported.
Moving on to the next question, Christy chose another reporter and said, "David? Don't go to Devil Dogs David, don't you try it!"
By Saturday evening, the video of the funny exchange had garnered more than 62,000 views.
