It looks like Britney Spears is taking on an exciting career path. The singer revealed that she will be a guest star in the hit TV series "Jane The Virgin."
According to an article by Entertainment Online, the star will appear in the series "Jane The Virgin." Using her Twitter account, the 33-year-old announced that she will guest star in one of her "favorite shows ever." She also put a hashtag with the post that indicated that it's a dream come true for her to be part of the show.
Showrunner Jennie Snyder Urman said that they are all excited to appear in "Jane The Virgin" episode 205.
"We are so thrilled that Rogelio's 'nemesis'-Britney Spears-has agreed to appear on Jane The Virgin in episode 205. Personally, after hearing about their long standing fued (from Rogelio's point of view), we are eager to hear Ms. Spears' side of the story, which we assume is quite different. #TeamBritney," Urman said.
Spears have appeared in several TV shows including "How I Met Your Mother" and "Will and Grace." As of the moment, Britney Spears is still on her residency at Planet Hollywood which will end in New Year's weekend. It's still unclear whether she will be extending the "Britney: Piece of Me" show in Las Vegas.
Meanwhile, star of the show Gina Rodriguez said that she is excited to work with Britney in the series. And when asked by fans how excited she is to work with the pop star, the actress said, "1,000,000. Boom."
"Jane The Virgin" actress Gina Rodriguez became the newest target of cyberbullying. According to Fox News Latino, the actress received a lot of hate when she posted a photo of her cover for People Español. Rodriguez was criticized from her dress and curled toes, some even made fun of her mangled Spanish translation.
Rodriguez who is Puerto Rican is not very fluent in Spanish but made an effort to be able to connect with her Latin fans. However, what she received was not the reaction she was hoping for.
Gina spoke out about the issue of cyberbullying and said that she refuses to be part of a world where hatred is spread and criticizing each other is tolerated. She also mentioned that it saddens her to see that while some people try to celebrate accomplishments, some people always have something negative to say.
"When did we decide social media was for hating, for putting others down rather than lifting them up. I refuse to participate in that kind of world," Rodriguez captioned along with a photo on Instagram.
"Jane The Virgin" Season 2 will premiere on Oct. 13 in CW.
