After initially revealing the first batch of WWE Superstars set to come out for 2K Sports WWE 2K16, more characters have been revealed.
Twelve names have so far been announced to join the initial list of WWE names that came out last month. Among the new additions include:
- Triple H
- Booker T
- Lord Steven Regal
- Colonel Mustafa
- Eva Marie
- General Adnan
- Kalisto
- Kane
- Sin Cara
- Summer Rae
- Tamina
- Emma
The new names join the initially announced WWE stars that include Daniel Bryan, Finn Balor, Paige, Seth Rollins and Stone Cold Steve Austin.
In the new list, it will be recalled that Eva Marie was earlier rumoured to be joining the list in a previous article. Speculations ran high when the red-haired diva released a photo showing her recoding a commercial for WWE 2K16.
With the new list, more names are expected to be named in the coming week. Do recall that the 2K Sports had earlier announced that there would be 120 playable characters of the said game and that will not include retro gaming characters.
Curiously, there are some names which may not be readily familiar to current WWE fans. This includes names such as Lord Steven Regal and Colonel Mustafa. Apparently the two names are alternative names of WWE stars perhaps easier identified as Steven Regal and the Iron Sheik.
Regal used the Lord Steven Regal name during his days in the WCW while Colonel Mustafa was used by the Iron Sheik when he aligned himself back in the days with WWE legend Sgt. Slaughter.
With the announcement, there are not 19 total WWE characters confirmed so expect a whole lot more to be revealed in the coming weeks before the game is officially released on October, 2015.
It also remains to be seen if the Terminator will indeed be made available as a pre-order bonus.
Two weeks ago, there was word that 2K Sports could be offering gamers a bonus in the form of possibly two playable versions of the Terminator, meaning Arnold Schwarzenegger will be around.
The two playable character versions will have Schwarzenegger at the T-800 as seen in the movie versions of 1984 and 1991.
WWE 2K16 seems to have done a good job as it tries to win back its followers after a not-so impressive WWE 2K15. The game is scheduled for release on October 27, 2015 in North America and on October 30 in Europe. 2K Sports will release versions for the Playstation 3, Playstation 4, Xbox 360 and Xbox On.
