Liga MX's blockbuster midweek action continues on Wednesday as some of the sides with the most to play for return to action.
Tigres will show whether they are truly on a downward spiral or not after their Copa Libertdores defeat, Cruz Azul will show whether they are fit to challenge for the playoffs and Morelia will show whether they can be real title contenders.
Wednesday, August 12th Matches:
Puebla vs Toluca,Estadio Cuauhtemoc, 21:00
Fresh from their dramatic 3-2 win over Pumas at the weekend, Puebla are continuing to impress this season and will be targeting another three points in front of their home support.
Lead by the impressive Christian Bermudez, who has scored twice so far in his side's three games and even added an assist, La Franja are ready for a real challenge this season and will look to put Toluca to the sword.
Toluca, having been defeated by Morelia on Saturday, will be hungry for the win and will know the three points will see them overtake their opponents in the league table.
Leon vs Tigres UANL, Estadio Nou Camp, 21:06
All eyes will be on Tigres as they look to establish themselves as serious contenders in the league after their Copa Libertadores campaign ended.
Having lost a two goal lead at home against Chivas last weekend Tigres boss Ricardo Ferretti will need to reorganize his side to reestablish the usual defensive tightness.
Star striker Andre-Pierre Gignac scored his first Liga MX goal last week and will be looking to gun Tigres up the league with his goals from now on.
Mauro Boselli was unable to add to his tally against Cruz Azul on Saturday as his side were defeated 2-0 but his goals have been the reason why Leon have been so impressive this season.
Boselli will target the frail looking Tigres defense to get back his goal-scoring touch.

Chivas de Guadalajara vs Monarcas Morelia, Estadio Omnilife, 21:30
Chivas showed guts to claw their way back from their two goal deficit at Tigres on Saturday and will want to leave the Omnlife stadium with the three points that could move them away from the bottom places.
Having started the season poorly Chivas may well be inspired by the outstanding goals last weekend of Raul Lopez and Ricard Vasquez who earned the Guadalajara side a precious point at El Volvcan.
Morelia on the other hand sealed continued their fine form this season and went clear at the top of the table with a 1-0 victory over Toluca.
La Monarquia will be full of confidence and are looking to complete their best start to a season for many years.

Pumas UNAM vs Atlas, Estadio Olimpico Universitario, 22:00
Two teams wanting to shrug off recent defeats and establish themselves as contenders for the post season, Pumas and Atlas could well play out one of the more attacking games of the Jornada.
Having gone down to a narrow 3-2 defeat on Sunday away to Puebla Pumas will be confident of scoring, especially against an Atlas team who conceded three on Saturday and hope to defend better in order to take the win.
Atlas, however, will be lead by Colombian striker Franco Arizala who has been telling reporters about his desire to "turn the page and start from the next game".
Arizala is confident that his team can spring a surprise at the Universitario, but with both defenses looking vulnerable expect goals.

Jaguares de Chiapas vs Cruz Azul, Estadio Victor Manuel Reyna, 22:00
Cruz Azul travel to Chiapas with their prospects of becoming a major team this season looking better and better after two straight victories.
As Cruz appear to be stabilizing themselves, Chiapas suffered a setback to their campaign last weekend with a 1-0 defeat away to Veracruz and as they return home to the Victor Reyna stadium expect them to attack from the start.
Chiapas will know that a win can lift them towards the post-season places and if they are can sustain the effort and make the playoffs then Wednesday night's match at home is exactly the sort of game they need to take the three points from.
