Rita Ora has made a major girl code violation -- in the eyes of Rihanna, that is. The British singer has reportedly teamed up with Chris Brown for their collaborative track, "Body on Me," as well as its steamy, hot accompanying music video.
According to The Sun, via Metro, the Barbadian star is not taking light to the new visual featuring her ex-boyfriend. "There's no lost love between them, but this is another example of what Rihanna perceives to be a lack of respect by Rita," an insider revealed.
RiRi and Breezy publicly split back in 2009 after the latter assaulted the former, leaving a bloody lip and several bruises on the face.
The publication also reported that the "B***h Better Have My Money" singer was livid about the duo's collaboration and further infuriated by the thought of the two getting close on set.
"Chris and Rihanna have a long history and she hit the roof when she heard about 'Body On Me' -- especially the video," the insider divulged.
The audio for the track has already received over 1 million views on YouTube, so the upcoming video is sure to be highly anticipated.
The "Black Widow" singer has been trying hard to take her career to the next level. In an interview with MailOnline, she admitted that she wants to grow into the artist she is meant become and is putting her all into her sophomore record.
"So this album I wanna be the rockstar that I always was. I have to fight every day. I still have to grind," she said. "On this second album I've put my blood in it, literally. The album was my resurrection. I got myself together."
With intimate lyrics like, "Baby, let's cut down the lights / I just really wanna let this fire burn bright / I'm just telling you to have an open mind / Just imagine us" from Ora and "Put you up against the wall / And I'ma go to work 'til you get off / Baby, soon as you're done we'll go some more / Girl, just imagine us" from Brown, Rihanna must be imagining a lot. It is hard to envision the visual for the slow and sexy banger to be anything short of hot!
Ora has also said the music video is "one of the most intimate videos she's ever done."
Rihanna and Ora have reportedly been feuding since rumors circled of a budding friendship between Brown and the "Poison" crooner. Metro cited that RiRi did not allow Rita into her Met Gala after-party.
Yikes! But when is this video dropping? Fans will have to sit tight for now.
