Instead of having the spotlight all to herself, Mariah Carey's children stole the show from their mom when she got her Hollywood Walk of Fame star on Wednesday.
According to a report from the Huffington Post, Mariah brought along her twins, Moroccan and Monroe Cannon, to the ceremony. Mariah's children were anything but excited to be at the event with their mother, and as any kid their age, a few tantrums here and there were thrown. As a result, things didn't go smoothly as Mariah probably hoped.
The singer was definitely the star of the show but her twins made their presence known as both wanted their mother's attention and some time on the microphone.
During Mariah's speech, Moroccan kept on tugging at her mother's gown, Fox News Latino reported, while attempting to grab the microphone from the singer.
Before things got out of hand, Mariah picked up her son who then said, "I love you mommy." Meanwhile, Monroe wanted a piece of the action, too.
"I better get through with this before the kids want to come up and talk again! Thank you so much, really, everybody for being here... I just want to thank all the fans for coming. This is a huge honor. A childhood dream come true... Before these kids take me off the stage, I guess I should move along. Thank you so much," the diva said.
Mariah is considered one of the most successful artists in the music industry. In fact, based on Billboard's records, she has the "most Billboard Hot 100 No. 1s by a solo artist (18), the most weeks at No. 1 of any act (79) and the chart's longest-running No. 1 of all-time, "One Sweet Day," with Boyz II Men (16 weeks)."
She has sold millions of records and won several awards that included five Grammy nods. She also appeared in movies like "The Butler," "Precious" and "Glitter."
As of the moment, Mariah is performing at the Colosseum in Caesar's Palace, Las Vegas, as part of her residency deal, which will last for two months. During one of her recent shows, she sang her hit songs like "We Belong Together," "Vision of Love" and "Hero," which she dedicated to her billionaire boyfriend, James Packer, Mail Online noted.
Mariah is definitely over the moon with her new love and she has been spotted on several occasions, spending time with the Australian business magnate in Malibu. However, James was not present during the Hollywood Walk of Fame ceremony, but the couple's common friends were there to show their support.
