A new fan-made trailer for '50 Shades of Grey' has hit the web featuring Amanda Seyfried and Garrett Hedlund in the lead roles of Anastasia Steele and Christian Grey. Several videos has been made by fans in anticipation for the film adaptation of E.L. James' bestselling erotic thriller series.
The video, which lasts about four minutes, features the Seattle skyline with several shots of Seyfried and Hedlund along with phrases, such as "unworldly innocence" and "undeniable desire," aimed to describe the film.
In the past, Seyfried has been mentioned as a potential star in the highly anticipated film. According to Gather Entertainment, "Amanda is an excellent choice for the role of Anastasia Steele-she has gorgeous eyes that are too big for her face just like the heroine in the erotic novel." The actress has also starred in several sensual roles, including Chloe in 'Chloe' and Linda Lovelace in 'Lovelace.'
However, she faces stiff competition in 'Gilmore Girls' actress Alexis Bledel, 'The Vampire Diaries' vamp Nina Dobrev and 'Twilight' vamp Ashley Greene.
On the other hand, Garrett Hedlund is a new addition to the ever-growing list of potential actors for the role of Christian Grey. According to Gather, Hedlund's recent work in 'On The Road' gives him some experience in playing steamy sex scenes.
Like Seyfreid, Hedlund faces incredibly heavy competition in 'White Collar' actor Matt Bomer and vampire-playing actors Ian Somerhalder ('Vampire Diaries') and Alexander Skarsgard ('True Blood').
Despite continued speculation regarding the film's casting, no decisions have been made. Since Universal Pictures and Focus Films purchased the rights to the film earlier this year, producers Mike De Luca and Dana Brunetti and screenwriter Kelly Marcel have joined the film's production team.
The first film of the series is not yet scheduled for theatrical release.
