Selena Gomez Joining ‘The Voice’ as Mentor? News & Rumors Here!

According to the rumor mill, Selena Gomez will be part of the next season of "The Voice" as a mentor.

In a report by Fox News Latino, the "The Heart Wants What It Wants" singer will reportedly be part of the next season of "The Voice." The singer actress will be able to share her knowledge and experience from the music industry to the new hopefuls who want to make a career out of singing.

The Latina reportedly signed a contract to mentor under Gwen Stefani's team on NBC's hit show "The Voice." A source revealed that despite her young age, she was able to exceed expectations as a mentor for the show.

"She was surprisingly amazing as a mentor even though she's so young. She exceeded everyone's expectations," the source revealed.

The star will be joined by other mentors like Brad Paisely for Blake Shelton's team, Miss Elliot for Pharell's team and John Fogerty for Adam Levine's group.

According to US Magazine, Levine asked Fogerty to return to the show with him because he considers the 70-year-old a legend.

"John performed at The Voice finale, and that's when Adam asked him to come back this season as a mentor," the source added.

Meanwhile, Blake would need Paisley to be more than a mentor for his team especially with the divorce that he is going through right now. Blake and Miranda Lambert announced their divorce on July 20 after being married for four years. Last season's "The Voice" had mentors like Nick Jonas, Meghan Trainor, Lionel Richie, Stevie Nicks, Gavin Rossdale and Ellie Goulding.

There were previous rumors that Justin Bieber will sit as one of the judges for the next season, but since all seats are occupied the rumor is proven false. If he did however ended up as judge, there might be some tension since Selena Gomez will be part of the show.

Apart from being part of "The Voice," Selena is also allegedly invited to come celebrate Kylie Jenner's 18th birthday party. There are rumors that Kylie wants to invite Selena and Taylor Swift to her bash so as to put the past behind them. The Jenners and Selena used to be close pals even attending Coachella together. The tension came when Justin Bieber and Kendall Jenner became close friends causing Selena and the sisters to drift away.

The next season of "The Voice" will premiere on Sept. 21.
