After months of hiding out from the public and fans, Rob Kardashian emerges on social media, shirtless.
The 28-year-old is photographed in an over-the-shoulder shot, biting into a delicious-looking sandwich. "#tbt Me just chill-zoning in Malibu eating a pulled pork sandwich," he wrote the following caption.
The former "Keeping Up with the Kardashians" star appears slightly thinner than in his few pictures that have circulated the Internet in the past few months.
Also, Kardashian's own social media account has been rather dead, except for him intermittently posting and deleting photos. At this time, it is uncertain how long ago the Throwback Thursday image was snapped.
A few weeks prior, the former reality star Instagrammed a snapshot of his niece, Penelope Disick, following a "Happy Birthday" message to big sister Khloé. Both were later deleted.
Rob went into hiding after his breakup with pop singer Rita Ora, who admitted to secretly dating him in April of last year. As a result, he spiraled into depression and gained 40 pounds.
The former "KUWTK" star's condition was so severe, to the point that he missed sister Kim's wedding to Kanye West last year after being snapped by paparazzi on the way to the airport.
Kim reportedly is not in favor of Rob hiding out in Khloé's house, according to Hollywood Life. She supposedly feels her sister is encouraging his current situation.
"It's like living in a 5 star hotel for Rob. She has him fed and his laundry done and lets him have the run of the house," an insider revealed. "Meanwhile, he stays at home all day smoking and playing video games with his buddies."
Khloé recently divulged to Complex Magazine she jokingly refers to Rob as her son and is overprotective of her little brother.
"Rob lives with me now, and I wouldn't have it any other way... I love having him with me. I have a big ass house and I wanted it so he could feel like, comfortable. He's going through a hard time now," she said. "I do baby him but I'm a maternal person."
Regardless, it seems the latest influx of social media posts may signify a surge in Rob's confidence. His 3.2 million followers are definitely excited about his return. @Mela_love11 wrote, "so cute," while @sarasaretta89 said, "Welcome back Rob! Don't care about haters and losers! We love you and miss you!"
Others expressed their unwavering support for the sole son of the Kardashian clan. @christievierazon commented, "And by the way, u don't look overweight at all," and @tiragirl_xo said, "You look amazing Rob, still do."
