The Wii U will launch alongside Zombie U next Sunday, just a short week away.
To build excitement among early system adopters, Ubisoft has released a live-action representation of the game's unique multiplayer mode, which casts one player in the role of "King of Zombies" and the other as a more traditional survivor. The King of Zombies uses the GamePad to spawn zombies strategically inside the map, while the survivor takes part in a Capture the Flag variant and must outmaneuver their adversary.
The developer's story director Gabrielle Shrager recently announced a new multiplayer arena known as St. George's Yard.
"You've seen the Tower of London gameplay footage by now, so you know you're going to have to breach the Traitor's Gate and penetrate the depths of the Bloody Tower to find the Raven of Dee's Secret Bunker, but you've never heard of St. George's Yard," she said in an interview with Official Nintendo Magazine.
ZombieU stands out as one of the more promising launch titles and directly appeals to the hardcore gaming crowd as a new IP amidst the crowd of re-releases and sequels that comprise the Wii U's list of launch titles.
The Wii U will release on November 18 using a multi-tiered pricing system. The Basic version is white and has 8GB of memory, a sensor bar, an adapter, and a HDMI cable. The Deluxe version is black and has 32GB of memory, comes bundled with Nintendo Land, a Gamepad charging cradle and stands for the console and controller.
