Mariah Carey will finally get her own Hollywood "Walk of Fame" star.

It seems like everything is going smooth for Carey in the past few months. The 45-year-old diva will finally get her long-awaited Hollywood "Walk of Fame" star alongside other celebrities. She will be awarded her very own star next week.

According to Fox News Latino, the singer will get the 2,556th star on the famous walkway and tourist destination spot. The news was validated and announced by the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce last Monday. Instantly, the diva excitedly posted the news via her Twitter account. She thanked her fans who have made it all possible.

"Super excited & feeling so humbled about my star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. Thank you so much to the fans for making this happen for me," the singer posted.

Telegraph reported that it took 25 years for her to be awarded the star. Carey's career in the music industry has spanned for 14 albums, 18 number one singles in the US, five Grammy wins and more than 200 million albums sold worldwide.

Carey did not only focus on singing but also ventured in film. She starred in nine movies which included a small role for the 2009 drama "Precious."

The ceremony for next week's awarding will be hosted by The Hollywood Chamber of Commerce. The August 5 event will have guest speakers like director Lee Daniels, Brett Ratner, LA Reid and Epic Records CEO.

Apart from her recent achievement, Carey's love life is also in full bloom. A few days ago, the singer flaunted a $500,000 necklace given to her by billionaire boyfriend James Packer. She recently declared her love for her new boyfriend during a Las Vegas show.

The singer dedicated the song "Hero" to Packer during her concert at the Colosseum at Caesar's Palace. "I've got a new heart tonight. James is in the house. Thank you for my heart," Carey said. She added, "I dedicate this next song to you."

Carey and Packer went public with their relationship after they were spotted holding hands while strolling around Capri, Italy. The couple were then seen exploring the Mediterranean in Packer's luxury yacht.

Packer split from model Erica Packer back in 2013 after being married for six years. Carey separated from Nick Cannon back in 2014 also after six years of marriage.
