Florida has finally announced the presidential candidate who will receive 29 Electoral College votes - Barack Obama.

Despite President Barack Obama being named the winner and to serve another four years last Tuesday, the Sunshine State experienced delays in the vote count until this past weekend.

Prior to the final election results, Obama had 303 Electoral votes to Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney's 206 votes. Since 270 Electoral votes are needed to win the presidency, Florida's vote won't affect the outcome.

When it comes to Florida's popular vote, Obama received 4,235,270 votes to Romney's 4,162,081, a difference of 73,189 votes. In percentages, Obama received 50 percent to Romney's 49.14 percent.

Despite the win in popular votes, Romney did capture most of Florida's 67 counties. Obama won 13 counties to Romney's 54 counties.
