It looks like new details about the casting for "Doctor Strange" has been unveiled as Rachel McAdams has confirmed that talks between her and the company has happened.

Previously, it has been rumored that Rachel McAdams has been cast for a role in "Doctor Strange" and now it has been confirmed that while Rachel McAdams hasn't been officially cast in the film, there has been talks between her and Marvel.

According to a report by Screen Crush, Rachel McAdams admitted that she has talked to Marvel regarding a role in "Doctor Strange" but she admits that the production is still in the early days of production as she notes that her talks with Marvel may not go anywhere at all.

"It's still super-early days, and I don't know where that's gonna go - if it's gonna go anywhere at all," says McAdams.

McAdams also notes that she is open to the idea of appearing on a superhero movie.

According to Dirk Libbey of Cinema Blend, it is very likely that Marvel studios is trying to work out a multi-picture deal with McAdams that will allow her to star not only in Doctor Strange and it's sequels but to appear on other films by Marvel Studios in which her character could potentially appear.

Cinema Blend also notes that McAdams role is going to be a leading character and that they've speculated that she would be Clea. Clea is a sorceress who sort-of rivals the mastery of magic of Doctor Strange. Cleo also got linked to Doctor Strange in the comics.

In other "Doctor Strange" movie news, it has been alleged that Tilda Swinton's role as the Ancient One could be a man.

As reported by Movie Web, Tilda Swinton could allegedly play a male character in "Doctor Strange" as her character, the Ancient One, could be identified as a man.

Movie Web notes that the Guardian has stated that "She (Tilda Swinton) will soon start shooting a Marvel blockbuster, Doctor Strange, but there is a Swinton-esque twist - she doesn't yet know if she will play the part as a man or a woman."

However, Movie Web notes that there is no exact quote from Swinton saying this and that it is possible that her words may have been taken out of context. It has also been speculated that the Ancient One was originally meant to be played by a man before Tilda Swinton was cast and that the script she received was the male Ancient One draft.
