New details about "Captain America: Civil War" has been unveiled as Martin Freeman's character for the film may have been revealed.

One of the biggest mysteries about "Captain America: Civil War" is not about how Spider-Man would tie-in to the story or how Marvel Studios is planning to adapt the comic book story to the big screen but what character "The Hobbit" star, Martin Freeman, is going to play in the film.

But now it seems that the shroud of mystery is now starting to disappear as a bunch of new details about Martin Freeman's character have been unveiled.

According to a report by Eric Eisenberg of Cinema Blend, Martin Freeman gave a few hints to what his character would be doing in "Captain America: Civil War" and it seems that his character may have been figured out by fans.

Citing an interview on BadTaste.it , Martin Freeman describes the role he is playing in "Captain America: Civil War",  as an employee of the American government who's tasked to coordinate with the various superheroes of the world as he notes that he working with "certain agencies that help to tame the superheroes' power."

Does that mean that Martin Freeman would be an antagonist in "Captain America: Civil War"? Not quite as the actor notes that he is not actually good or evil.

"You're not quite sure which side he's on. It looks a little bit like he's playing one game when actually he's playing another. It's the kind of character I like because it's ambiguous and because you don't know whether he's good or bad. I like that area that isn't black or white; I like the grays," says Freeman.

While Martin Freeman did not name his character at all, Cinema Blend has postulated that his character would be Henry Peter Gyrich. As stated by Cinema Blend, Henry Peter Gyrich is a special government liaison to the Avengers that was introduced in the comics during the 1970's.

Meanwhile, Kevin Feige has arrayed some fears that "Captain America: Civil War" would be a very complicated story to tell for the big screen.

As reported by Screen Rant, Feige has noted that the plot of "Captain America: Civil War" is actually very simple to understand.

Citing an interview with Zap2it, Screen Rant reports Feige notes that the film adaption of "Civil War" will be simpler compared to the comics.

"'Civil War' is a relatively simple story. ['Avengers: Age of Ultron'] had a lot going on. Civil War' is a surprisingly grounded story about two characters that most audience members have come to know and like and admire finding themselves on different sides of a political argument, like the country does on many occasions, and how they both respond to that. That's the story. So it's actually a very, very simple story, and then how their personal relationships fit into that," says Feige.
