Amir Khan vs Kell Brook Happening in November? News & Rumors Here!

With Floyd Mayweather, Jr. looming to fight someone else, Amir Khan may end up trying to look for someone else to fight before 2015 ends.

Khan was believed to be the leading opponent on Mayweather’s list but it seems that the undefeated American boxer has decided to follow a different route with Andre Berto suddenly becoming the frontrunner in the September 12, 2015 card to be held in Las Vegas.

In fact, even Khan as heard about it and has already wished Berto luck just in case that match is made official.

With his chances of landing a mega fight with Mayweather slowly slipping away, who could Khan possibly face?

Khan had earlier mentioned that if he fails to land that match with Mayweather that he would consider stepping into the ring this coming November or December. But the thing is, Khan has no plans (yet) of considering Kell Brook which could mean that Eddie Hearn’s efforts would probably be useless.

Hearn plans to sit down with Khan and his camp and discuss a possible all Briton act before 2015 ends. But with Khan seemingly standing firm on his decision not to face Brook, the probability of that tiff from happening may be a long shot.

If this would be the case, who could Khan possibly face? It seems that his next opponent will be left at the hands of his promoter, Al Haymon.

As far as Brook is concerned, the British southpaw believes that Kell will have to establish himself first before Khan can consider meeting him in the ring.

Khan is apparently singling out the fact that Brook should face top level fighters in the division to get noticed.

By this Khan could be referring to Brook’s past opponents, Jo Jo Dan and Frank Gavin, names which don’t necessarily qualify as matches that would get Brook noticed.

"All he has to do is face some top names, like Bradley, Maidana and Thurman," said Khan.

Khan goes on to explain that he will fight Brook – one day. But that can only happen once Brook has earned his spot among the top names in their division which in turn could be Brook’s ticket to better revenue-generating fights.

“One thing I can say is that fight will always be there and until I retire that fight will always be there” says Khan.

If ever that happens, Khan believes that their fight could end up with a better payday, something he believes could go as high as £100million.

To do that though, Brook has to work his way towards it in the same way that Khan has done through his career.

Some would say that Khan may be simply avoiding Brook while others may see his views at valid. But the thing remains is that Khan and Brook may happen unfortunately not now until the latter boosts his market stock.
