With the presidential election over, President Barack Obama has secured a second term but with most states, different numbers.

Obama won the election receiving 332 Electoral College votes to Mitt Romney's 206 Electoral votes. The numbers show a decisive win for Obama but down compared his 2008 victory when he received 365 votes to Arizona Senator John McCain's 173 votes.

Among most states, Obama also received less votes compared to his 2008 popular vote numbers, particularly among all 11-swing states. Obama also lost Indiana and North Carolina to Romney in 2012, two states he won in 2008.
