Remember that blue fish that never stops talking and tends to forget some things? Yes, the fish in question is Dory, and her movie will be making a splash in cinemas next year.
Over a decade has passed since Walt Disney and Pixar's highly successful movie, "Finding Nemo," was aired worldwide. Recently, Pixar has just confirmed that there is a highly anticipated sequel to "Finding Nemo." This time its entitled "Finding Dory"
Franchise Herald's report, however, reveals that fans will have to wait a little bit longer as the first ever trailer for "Finding Dory" will air at D23 Expo. This is Disney's Annual Fan Convention in Anaheim, California, which will start on Aug. 14 and ends on Aug. 16. The event is said to reveal never before seen footage from Pixar's upcoming movie "The Good Dinosaur" and Disney Animation's Zootopia and Moana.
As fans know, the first movie features the adventures of a clownfish named Marlin as he travel the vast ocean to search for his son, Nemo who was taken from their home on the reef by a diver. On his travels, Marlin meets a forgetful fish named Dory. Even though Dory has short term memory loss, she seems to gain control of her memories when she is around Marlin. The duo meets some interesting creatures like sharks, lobsters, turtles surfing an underwater current and a whale that swallowed them up. Dory and Marlin ended up in Australia where met a pelican who happens to know where Nemo is.
According to VC Post, the sequel will focus on Dory as she returns to the Marine Biology Institute of California where she was born in search for her parents, Jenny and Charlie. Her adventures will lead her to some interesting settings such as a falling shipping container and a kelp forest. Dory will also meet new characters or creatures like a whale shark, beluga whale and a giant squid. Nemo's role in the movie is still unclear.
Talk show host, Ellen DeGeneres, is coming back as the forgetful Dory. Marlin will be voiced by Albert Brooks for the second time. Eugene Levi will voice Dory's dad, Charlie, while Diana Keaton will voice her mom, Jenny. Ty Burrell from "Modern Family" will voice the beluga whale named Bailey. Idris Elba and Dominic West will aslo be part of the cast but details about their characters are still unclear.
"Finding Dory" is set to be released on June 17, 2016 together with Pixar's 30th anniversary.
