Amid the Donald Trump controversy, Miss USA was able to wrap up their show and crown a winner.

As reported by CBS News, Miss Oklahoma's Olivia Jordan was crowned Miss USA for this year's pageant competition. Jordan managed to beat 50 other contestants that were part of the show. The whole show managed to pull through with their 64th annual pageant even with controversies surrounding its co-owner Donald Trump.

The whole show managed to start and end without mention of the billionaire mogul who was not in attendance. The 26-year-old winner was followed by 22-year-old first runner up from Texas, Ylianna Guerra. Miss Rhode Island Anea Garcia was second runner up, Miss Nevada Brittany McGown was third runner up and Miss Maryland Mame Adjei was fourth runner up.

After Trump's "racist" comments about Mexico, NBC and Univision dropped the pageant as well as few other celebrities and judges. It was satellite and cable channel Reelz that stepped in to broadcast the show and assured that Trump will not benefit from it financially.

As usual, the pageant consisted of the evening wear and swimsuit competition. The last stage of the competition was for the question and answer portion. The preliminary contest was held earlier last week where the women were narrowed down.

In an article by Yahoo News, the remaining five contestants were asked two questions and given 30 seconds to answer each during the Q & A portion.  Jordan was asked about that next issue that she feels America needs to tackle and she answered race relations.

"We have not solved this issue. We really need to work on being an accepting society," the beauty queen said.

For her second question, she was asked to choose a woman who she feels should be put on the new $10 bill. Her initial answer was Oprah Winfrey but ended it with Harriet Tubman, a former slave who helped others escape to freedom.

"We have freedom of speech in this country, and immigration is certainly an important issue. This organization is not one person. It's definitely not just me. It's a family. This organization celebrates diversity, and I think that was clear on the stage tonight, and I look forward to spreading a message of love and diversity and acceptance," Jordan said when asked to give her opinion about the Trump controversy.

Jordan is from Tulsa, Oklahoma. She works as a group fitness instructor and a personal trainer. The current Miss USA title holder graduated from Boston University where she earned the degree of Bachelor of Science in Health Science. Apart from winning the crown, she already appeared in several local and international commercials as well as in the feature film "Hot Tub Time Machine 2."
