In the middle of Donald Trump's feud with the Latino community, former Miss Universe Alicia Machado revealed that she will write a book about her experience with the U.S. presidential candidate.
In a report by Latin Times, the 38-year-old former Miss Universe title holder has not made many comments about Trump and his racist comments about Latinos. The beauty queen also feels it will serve as a matter of respect to Televisa where she is currently working. However, for many years now Machada has been open about her disapproval about Trump's comments.
Machada's publicist released a statement about her standpoint regarding the issue between Latinos and the billionaire businessman. As it turns out, Alicia will write and release an upcoming book with the title Donald Trump y Yo (Donald Trump and I).
"The forthcoming publication will include details about the abuse of power and racism she suffered as a minor from Mr. Trump. The statement also says that the model, actress and singer will unveil who Trump really is," the publication stated.
According to Fox Latino, Trump always had a sharp tongue. In fact, Machado isn't a bit surprised with the mogul's comments about Mexican immigrants. Trump once called her an "eating machine" after she gained weight months after winning the Miss Universe crown back in 1996.
Machado who once referred to Trump as "imbecile" will not be providing any other details about her book but said that she will narrate Trump's behavior of "abuse of power, arrogance, and racism" which he displayed in many occasions.
Alberto Gomez, Machada's publicist said that the beauty queen received many invitations to do an interview but she is currently busy taping for the telenovela "La Imperdonable."
"Out of respect for her current work in 'The Unforgiven' with Mexican broadcaster Televisa, Alicia Machado will not make any comment at this time regarding this issue, although it is important to note that she has shown her displeasure and disapproval of the person and comments by Mr. Trump for quite some time," Gomez shared on Instagram.
After she became Venezuela's fourth Miss Universe, Machado has been involved in several controversies. She and her boyfriend at that time were associated in a murder case. Alicia was also accused of having a relationship with a drug dealer and allegedly had a child with him. However, all throughout those 19 years that passed, she remained vocal about her opinion of Trump who she calls a "detestable man."
"My time in the competition was hell," Machado said.
