When you work with the same people for years, it won't be surprising if they later became your closest friends.
Jennifer Lawrence could certainly agree to this as a consequence of working with her "Hunger Games" cast mates on the hit movie franchise since 2011. As the final installment of the cinematic series, "The Hunger Games: Mockingjay - Part 2," is set to arrive in theaters this year on November, the cast waxed nostalgia during the ongoing annual San Diego Comic-Con on fun times shared during filming all those years.
"It's such a huge part of my life. These movies really did change my life," Lawrence said, as quoted by Mashable. "The people who are in my life - you guys [turning to Hutcherson and Hemsworth] - challenged me. I love you."
"I think the changes that happened in my life from doing these movies are so permanent that I don't think I'll ever say goodbye to her," she continued, speaking about her character, Katniss Everdeen. "It feels like a part of me."
"I don't think I'll ever really say goodbye to Katniss," the Oscar-winning actress also added, as noted by the LA Times. "She's become a part of me."
Indeed, proof of her excellent rapport with her co-stars was evident during their panel session, as she, Josh Hutcherson, and Liam Hemsworth, who played Peeta Mellark and Gale Hawthorne in the series respectively, "never stopped poking, prodding, punching and needling one another (with Lawrence, seated between her co-stars, doing most of it)," Mashable observed.
"There's no way of saying this that doesn't start rumors, but that night we held each other and slept like puppies," Lawrence revealed, speaking of the last day of filming.
Lawrence attended what could probably be her last Comic-Con. She has done so in the past years to promote "Hunger Games" and the "X-Men" movie franchise, both of which are her last vehicles for the respective cinematic series. Although "X-Men: Apocalypse" won't be in theaters until May 2016, which is two months before San Diego Comic-Con 2016, it will be her last appearance in the said franchise.
As with her other public appearances, Lawrence did not fail to entertain and even charm audiences.
"Lawrence's every utterance seemed to charm the crowd, no matter how inarticulate she may have been at times," LA Times pointed out.
"The Jennifer Lawrence Charming Awkwardness Machine was easily the highlight - unlike most actresses who easily spout platitudes about how great a journey their film was, Lawrence simply could not seem to get the words out," The Verge added. "She tried, but she fumbled. Otherwise she seemed distracted by literally anything."
When asked whether anything from her character rubbed off her, she responded with this: "Nothing about me and Katniss is similar, because she's brave and I'm ... an actress."
