It looks like the next "Fast and the Furious" movie will be packed with some leading ladies. Ruby Rose, Helen Mirren and Eva Mendes are all rumored to join in the action-packed film.
According to a report by Yibada, aside from lead Michelle Rodriguez the next "Fast and the Furious" movie will star actress Helen Mirren and Ruby Rose. Eva Mendes is also rumored to come back to reprise her role from the second installment. If reports are true then there will be somewhat balance in the male-dominated movie.
Mendes was part of the cats of "2 Fast 2 Furious" where she played the character Monica Fuentes, an undercover customs agent who fell in love with Brian O'Connor played by the late actor Paul Walker.
In addition to the rumor, Christian Today reported that Eva will return for the eight movies and will be Vin Diesel's love interest. If this is true, then Dominique will have a problem since he is already in a relationship with Letty played by Michelle Rodriguez.
Though Mendes will likely be on the gang's side, Helen Mirren will play as villain. No further details are known about her character yet but what is believed is she will take the role of a powerful woman with impressive driving skills.
Meanwhile, "Orange Is The New Black" breakthrough actress Ruby Rose revealed that she auditioned for the "Furious 7" movie but was turned down because apparently one of the main leads commented that she looks like Justin Bieber. However, Universal Studious is rumored to be correcting their "mistake" and is trying to get in touch with the Australian DJ for a role that will be related to Agent Luke Hobbs, Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson's character.
There are also recent reports that suggested Jason Statham's return in the "Furious 8" movie. In a recent interview the action star confirmed that he signed a contract to once again play his role as Decker Shaw. He also identified himself as a "newcomer" who just got invited to the party. Statham also added that he is happy to do another movie for the international blockbuster franchise.
"The fanbase is very unique. They really do relate to the characters. They love these characters. They've followed them for years and years," Statham said. ''We're already talking about doing another one, part eight, and I'm a newcomer. I just got invited to the party in this last one, so it's nice to know that I'll be doing another."
