Andy Murray will try to settle an old score with rival Roger Federer as both stars face off this coming Friday in the semifinals of the Wimbledon 2015 at the All England Club.

The upcoming match was one of the highly awaited showdowns since the draws were released. Both faced off in 2012 which Federer won, his 17th Grand Slam title.

Federer knows for a fact that scenario this coming Friday will be entirely different.

That year, Murray was coming of three tournament conquests and was obviously showing the strain from such when he went up against Federer in 2012. Admittedly, Federer knew he was facing a tired Murray in the finals.

Now, it is all about vying for the finals once more and both plan to put on a good show.

"I just hope the crowd gets into it and enjoys a good match and that we can play well," says Federer via USA Today. "I have received a lot of crowd support over the years, and so has Andy. So it really probably depends a little bit on who is in the crowd there that day and who they prefer to win. But they're always very friendly and fair."

Murray advanced to the final after defeating Vasek Pospisil in three sets (6-4, 7-5, 6-4) while Federer had taken down Gilles Simon (6-3, 7-5, 6-2).

This will be Murray’s sixth Wimbledon semi-final stint who had to deal with two rain delays before officially disposing Pospisil, the world number 56.

"I felt I played some good stuff. He served extremely well for periods. I tried to change my return position at the end of the second set to see the returns better."

On his upcoming joust with Federer, Murray is eager to face a familiar foe which he knows will be a great match to look forward to.

Federer had little trouble dealing with the rain delays with Simon who incidentally broke Federer’s run of 116 consecutive unbroken service games.

Regardless, Federer buckled down to work come the second set and virtually took Simon apart in the third set.

Heading into the Friday match, the serve could ultimately be the one to dictate the outcome between the two rivals. At stake is a second Wimbledon final appearance for Murray while Roger Federer will be seeking an eighth final appearance.

The winner between the Federer vs. Murray tiff will face the victor in the other semifinal pairing pitting Novak Djokovic and Richard Gasquet.

Djokovic advanced when he defeated Marin Cilic while Gasquet made it in thrilling fashion against French Open champion Stan Wawrinka.
