In a rare public appearance, Meg Ryan stepped onto the red carpet in Paris for fashion week.
It has been about 14 months since Ryan made an appearance and from what was seen in Paris, she looks stunning. While some work have been rumored done on her face, Ryan (now 53), wore an off-shoulder, black lace dress.
According to Us Magazine, the actress attended several fashion shows during the two-day period between July 6 and 7. The first show she was seen at was the Georges Chakra show where Ryan was seen to sports a more high fashion look. The second show the actress was reported to be at was the Schiaparelli fashion show. Here, Ryan wore a simple black dress and make up that made her natural features stand out more. No sign of her two kids or ex-husband Dennis Quaid though.
As many remember, Ryan was one of the cinema darlings of the 1980s and 1990s. She was one of the queens of the romantic comedy genre, staring in hits such as "Joe versus the Volcano," "You Got Mail" and "When Harry Met Sally." However, Ryan has hit hard times and has not been seen in public very often lately.
The last time the award winning actress was seen in public before this recent event was when she and co-star Billy Crystal presented Rob Reiner with the Chaplin Award during the 41st Annual Chaplin Award Gala in New York City. The three had come together for the first time during the blockbuster hit "When Harry Met Sally." Many would remember the scene in the cafeteria that made the movie. The three remained friends over the years and it was Reiner who asked that the two be the ones to present him with the award. The Annual Chaplin Award Gala is one of the biggest fundraisers of the year for the Film Society. It helps with education, development and cross-cultural film outreach.
Foxnews reports that even though the actress is aging, she is happy with the way that she looks. While she does admit that there has been some work done on her features, the actress proudly admits that no work has been done to keep her signature feature, her lips, youthful and pouty.
The good news for fans of the actress is that she has two projects lined up for a 2015 release date. The two movies, "Ithaca" and "Fan Girl," will mark the return to the big screen for Ryan since 2009.
