Coming out on national TV, starring in a documentary, and now a TV series? Is Caitlyn Jenner's star ascending even higher in the entertainment industry after coming out?
Ryan Murphy, the TV series' creator himself, hinted that he might just feature Caitlyn in the show at some point. This came in the wake of comparisons made between the former Olympian and the show's star, Jessica Lange. The two, some observers have said, share similar physical features.
"What I thought was the greatest thing of all was, [Jessica] said, 'I love that,'" he told Hollywood Life, speaking about Jessica's reaction to the comparison.
"I thought [Jessica] handled that in such a great, classy way...She said, 'wait a minute, what? Oh, that's great.' I like that, I thought that was wonderful actually," he added.
When asked whether Caitlyn can fill in Jessica's shoes on the show (she had since left the series and won't be seen in the upcoming season), this is what the showrunner said:
"Maybe I'll put Caitlyn on Horror Story. You never know. I wonder if she would act?"
"I'm a big fan of [Caitlyn's]," Ryan offered. "And I'm really proud to live in a world with five years ago, if that had happened, it would be totally different. I thought [the comparisons] became instantly like a compliment as opposed to a detriment. I love that."

Going back to the comparison that got Ryan wondering about casting the 65-year-old for a stint in the TV series, Caitlyn's coming out story and Vanity Fair June issue cover sparked a comparison to the award-winning actress.
"Scores of Twitter users took note of the resemblance between Jenner and Lange, so much so that Lange's name was trending on Twitter Monday afternoon alongside Jenner's herself," The Daily Beast noted.
When told of the comparison, Jessica told the news source that it is "wonderful" and "interesting," and that she will have to take a look at the photo in question.
"Trending on Twitter because Caitlyn Jenner is on the cover-you see I don't do any of this stuff, the Internet," she explained. "So I have no clue when people use this terminology."
In other news, Caitlyn has apparently settled into her new life as a transgender woman as she was seen shopping and driving her favorite ride, a Porsche 911 GT3 RS.
"While she opted for a dressier wardrobe during a trip to New York earlier in the week, for the leisurely weekend drive, Caitlyn went casual in a pair of jeans and a black sweater," MailOnline said. "The star was spotted zooming around the canyons near her Malibu home in the $180,000 car, a gift from Jenner's ex wife Kris during their marriage."
