The first 'Fear the Walking Dead' promo showed little outside of a walker silhouette trudging through a Los Angeles tunnel. The second teaser, released Friday, gave a much closer look at the terror viewers are in for.
In the 30-second spot, we see panicked character Nick escape out a window, squeeze through a wrought iron fence, and pull up his pants as he sprints down a street. Walkers are never seen and words are never said, but the ominous soundtrack is enough to raise the tension meter to "high."
Co-creator Robert Kirkman recently shared some background on Nick - played by Frank Dillane - and how he's shaping up to be an anti-hero. Nick is "pretty much a parent's worst nightmare," Kirkman told Entertainment Weekly. "He has flunked out of college, had a lot of trouble, got mixed up in some bad elements, and is definitely the problem child."
AMC's Fear the Walking Dead debuts in August. Check out the full teaser below.
