The dinosaurs are back on screen and they look more real and fierce than ever.

Although Steven Spielberg may not have directed "Jurassic World," his prints are all over the movie. The Academy award-winning director gave his blessings to fellow director Colin Trevorrow to lead the 2015 Jurassic film. In the case of "Jurassic World," Trevorrow has done it successfully, reports New York Times.

The first "Jurassic Park" movie is considered an icon in Hollywood. It simply left a mark for those who managed to see the magic as dinosaurs come to life in the big screen. The 1993 classic film is still dubbed as the "best Jurassic franchise." After 22 years, "Jurassic World" - which is the most comparable to the first film - was released and it still wasn't able to beat the effect of the first dinosaur movie.

"Nothing can outdo that first introduction to dinos, resplendent as it was in its Spielbergian wizardry. However, it is to the credit of the reboot and its director Colin Trevorrow that while watching you compare it to the first Jurassic Park, and not its less-than-watchable sequels," Hindus Times stated.

However, there are still a lot to marvel about "Jurassic World." With the same theme as the first Jurassic movie, the 2015 film tells the story of a Jurassic World luxury resort which provides a home for genetically engineered dinosaurs. This includes the highly intelligent "Indominus rex" and when the creature escaped, it's up to a former military man and animal expert - played by Chris Pratt - to save the guest from the prehistoric chaos.

The movie is considered as a breakthrough movie for Pratt who is slowly climbing up the Hollywood A-list ladder. After his lead role in "Guardians of the Galaxy," the actor managed to snag the coveted lead role of Owen in the latest Jurassic film.

Contrary to what other's believe that the actor is the perfect fit for the role, Cinemablend reports that director Trevorrow wasn't initially convinced about casting Pratt.

"If any convincing had to happen, it was with me. The studio was down and Steven [Spielberg] was down, and I was down - but I was just worried that I was down for the wrong reasons. I really love improvisational comedic actors and you see them in my films again and again - Jake Johnson, Aubrey Plaza, Mark Duplass and so I just wanted to make sure that I wasn't bringing him in because that was comfort zone for me," Colin explained. "Ultimately we sort of proved to each other that it was the right choice, because we found something that certainly wasn't really improvisational and it isn't really that comedic. We found a real character."

The movie also stars Bryce Dallas Howard, Vincent D'Onofrio, Ty Simpkins, Irrfan Khan, Nick Robinson, Jake Johnson and many more.
