May 4 is unofficially known as "Star Wars Day", with fans of the franchise greeting each other "May the Fourth be with you!" and companies featuring a number of Star Wars-related merchandise.
TIME recalled that the first time the line, "May the Fourth be with you", was used was on May 4, 1979, when the London Evening News congratulated British Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher on her election. Years later, people continued to build the tradition by wearing Star Wars costumes, viewing the films again and getting discounts on related items in various shops. Because of the huge following that the famous franchise has generated, many stores and companies have made it a yearly event to provide offers and present materials in reference to Star Wars.
Gamespot reported that for May 4, 2015, Microsoft featured concept photos of Star Wars-inspired game controllers for the Xbox One.
Xbox UK posted the photos of four unique Xbox One controllers on Twitter.

Clearer photos were presented on GameCenterOnline. The first game controller was white, based on a Stormtrooper. It featured a white surface and black buttons, which looked like the helmet of the Sith soldiers. The second controller was inspired by the bounty hunter Boba Fett, featuring a predominantly green surface and hints of red, black and yellow. The game controller had a rugged appearance as well as an antenna on the left side, just like Fett's helmet.
The third photo shown on GameCenterOnline was based on Han Solo's co-pilot of the Millenium Falcon, Chewbacca. The game controller was black and brunette, similar to the hairy head of the Wookie warrior. The buttons are black and there are white accents at the top portion of the controller. The Xbox One controller also appeared to have hairy texture. The fourth photo was based on the lovable humanoid robot in the Star Wars franchise, C3PO. The controller had a golden hue and accents of black, although it lacked the luster and sheen that the talkative robot usually has.

Being concepts, the controllers are not expected to be actually released and are only posted for purposes of celebrating "Star Wars Day". However, some of the designs might actually complement gaming consoles, except for the hairy Chewbacca version, of course.
