Floyd Mayweather bought another luxury vehicle in the final weeks leading up to his mega-fight against Manny Pacquiao on May 2.
Mayweather previously purchased a customized Mercedes party bus for $300,000 earlier in April, based on a report by TMZ. The luxury vehicle featured a 55-inch flat-screen TV with Apple and DirecTV, surround sound stereo system, a champagne bar, cabin lighting system and Maybach heated massage chairs, among others.
On April 19, Mayweather shared a video of his recent purchase, a Mercedes-Maybach S600, which is valued at $210,000. He posted on Instagram, "I just added a new toy to my car collection. 2016 Mercedes-Maybach S600. $210,000.00."
The video featured the shiny black car at various angles, emphasizing the Mercedes and Maybach logos. There were shots of the car's grille, rear, the rims, the sides and the whole body. There were also scenes of the Team Money Train van, Mirror described.
The boxer also shared more images of his other toys for the "haters". There were shots of his many sports cars, cash laid out the floor, diamond-studded watches and Mayweather taking a vacation.
Daily Mail reported that it is common for Mayweather to post about his growing wealth on social media. In January, the undefeated champ shared his collection of cars, which included a Lamborghini Aventador, Ferrari 599 GTB Fiorano, two Ferrari 458 Spiders, Porsche 911 Turbo S, two Bugatti Veyrons and a Bugatti Grand Sport. He also owns a jet plane.
The 38-year-old champ previously stated that he is planning to retire from boxing after his two remaining fights with Showtime. His taste in luxury cars may have also changed with age. Auto Evolution noticed that compared to his previous purchases of sports cars, a Mercedes-Maybach S600 may be described as a "choice of a gentleman". Mayweather may be refining his lifestyle preferences as he prepares to move out of the boxing ring and takes on new endeavors as an entrepreneur.
Mayweather is set to earn more in a single day compared to what any other athlete has earned in an entire year, according to the Detroit Free Press. The May 2 bout will provide "Money" with a 60 percent cut, estimated to be around $180 million. It will be the biggest payday of his life, topping his previous financial accomplishment of being the second athlete to have earned $100 million in a 12-month period. The staggering amount will most likely make him the highest-paid athlete of 2015.
