Actress Alyssa Milano took matters with Heathrow Airport to her Twitter account today saying that the security personnel from the airport threw Milano's breast milk including the breast pump itself, a source reported.

ABC News cited the actress in a statement which says, "breastfeeding my children has been one of the greatest joys of my life."

"Every ounce of milk I'm able to produce for my child is nothing short of a miracle and to watch that milk be thrown away without any regard for my baby, was heartbreaking."

Milano's statements are pointing to what just happen at the Heathrow Airport in London where her breast milk was confiscated by airport security. She vent out all of her frustrations by posting on her Twitter account regarding her experience.

She began by a tweet which reads, "@HeathrowAirport just took my pumped breast milk away. 10 ounces. Gone. Not okay,"

Although, Heathrow Airport was able to respond to Milano's tweets, the response even fueled a frustrated Milano provoking her to tweet some more in the hopes of getting a valid explanation from the airport authorities.

"Hi Alyssa. Unfortunately, without a baby present, the government requires all liquids in carry-ons to follow the 100ml rule." Heathrow Airport responded in Milano's first tweet.

The dialogue between Milano and Heathrow Airport authorities was revealed by US Magazine, the conversation is as follows:

@HeathrowAirport Why can you test my toiletries to make sure they are safe but you have to throw away my breast milk?

@Alyssa_Milano Hi Alyssa. We replied to your first tweet with the answer, but more info can be found here: https://bit.ly/1DMnS0G

@HeathrowAirport I was told I would be fine if the baby was with me. Plus, it was less than 5 ounces per container. Why is my shampoo okay?

@Alyssa_Milano Sorry for any confusion caused. To confirm, if you aren't travelling with your baby, milk is subject to the 100ml/(3.4oz)

@Alyssa_Milano liquid restriction. If you need further info this, I would encourage you to visit their website- https://bit.ly/1aNkYw9

Milano conceded saying that she understands that "airport security is just following orders to keep everyone safe." However she hoped, the policy received a "thoughtful reconsideration" especially with travelling mothers like Milano

Furthermore, it was reported that despite of the misunderstanding, Milano was glad that they had this kind of dialogue with Heathrow Airport to address concerns such as this.

"I'm glad this has started a dialogue. My only hope is to make things easier for moms, breastfeeding and formula feeding moms, everywhere." She said.
