Another much anticipated Air Jordan 11 Low colorway is about to hit retail stores soon.
The Air Jordan 11 Retro Low "Grey Mist" is set to release on Saturday, April 11 at 10:00 a.m. EDT. The shoe will be available at Flight Shop, Nike.com and select Jordan Brand retail outlets. The shoe will retail at $170 for the adult men sizes, $120 for the GS or girl sizes, $75 for the preschool sizes and $55 for the toddler sizes, based on a report by Nike.com.
The shoe was inspired by Michael Jordan's rival university when he was still playing college basketball at the University of North Carolina. While many of Jordan's UNC-inspired basketball sneakers had featured classic white and North Carolina blue accents, the upcoming Georgetown-influenced version features the school's official colors, which are grey and midnight navy blue.
Kicks on Fire featured the images of the Air Jordan 11 Retro Low "Grey Mist". In terms of design and construction, the shoe is actually similar to the Air Jordan 11 Low "Concord" which was released in 2014. The sneaker has a clean white midsole unit and an icy translucent outsole. The upper mesh construction is grey, flowing towards the tongue. The tongue is also made of grey mesh construction and includes the signature black tag in the middle, stating "Jumpman Jordan" sideways. The shoelaces are white. The shoe also has a distinct shiny black patent leather that runs around it, just above the midsole.
More detailed photos were provided by Sole Collector, showing a white stitched Jumpman logo at the back of the shoe, another black Jumpman logo on the outsole, visible through the translucent icy sole, and a third Jumpman logo on the insole, against the number "30", indicating Jordan Brand's 30 years in the shoe business. The sock liner features a darker grey hue and there is a vertical number "23" printed on the heel tab above the stitched Jumpman logo, giving reference to Michael Jordan's jersey number when he was playing with the Chicago Bulls.
The Air Jordan 11 Retro Low "Grey Mist" still has the carbon fiber support, visible through the outsole and on the side, which means that players can expect solid landings and great toe to heel transition. The low cut version provides smaller players with the versatility and agility they need when making quick cuts and drives.
Overall, the Air Jordan 11 "Georgetown" is expected to be a hit among basketball fans for balling and casual purposes.
