The Air Jordan Lab Series continue to garner hype, especially with a possible sneak peek of the Jordan15Lab12.
Kicks on Fire featured what could possibly be leaked photos of the Air Jordan 15Lab12, which is a combination of the Air Jordan 12 and Air Jordan 15. The Lab Series feature sneakers that combine various elements of numbered Jordan shoes into a unique retro version. Before the Jordan15Lab12, there was a lot of hype in the release of the Jordan11Lab4.
Based on the pictures, the Air Jordan 15Lab12 uses the Air Jordan 12 as the silhouette. The shoe features the familiar, carbon fiber plate at the bottom, exposed through the ribbed outsole pattern. On the upper, there is also the leather panel that runs from the toe towards the side of the shoe.
The upper of the shoe features unique Air Jordan 15 elements, particularly the woven material. The shoe is almost all white, including the white herringbone outsole pattern, sock liner, tongue, shoelaces, midsole and woven upper. There are hints of gold on the aglets and the Jumpman logo on the toe portion of the outsole. There is also a gold number "23" featured on the outsole and heel of the shoe.
The woven upper of the Air Jordan 15 was designed by Tinker Hatfield. Among all the sneakers featured in the Lab Series, the Air Jordan 15Lab12 might be the sleekest and most wearable because of its color and design.
Nice Kicks reported that the outsole also features translucent materials, adding to the aesthetic and sleek look of the sneakers. Currently the Air Jordan 15Lab12 has no release date or retail price yet, but the Jordan Brand is expected to divulge more about the shoe in the coming months.
Based on photos shared by Sneaker Bar Detroit, the Air Jordan 15Lab12 features premium leather, woven materials on the upper and the same sole construction as the Air Jordan 12. The shoe still features the solid outrigger to provide extra support when making quick turns and cuts.
The model will also most likely feature Zoom cushioning, similar to the Air Jordan 12.Considering how the Jordan XII was built like a tank, the upcoming sneaker is expected to perform well on the basketball court, although sneakerheads might prefer to get these for casual use or display purposes, because of the all-white colorway.
Jordan Brand and Nike are expected to provide more details and the official release dates soon.
