One Direction has lost Zayn Malik. And, the remaining band members are sure sad because of Malik's sudden departure. People reported that in a recent interview with The Sun, One Direction member Liam Payne let readers in on the experiences that the 4 singers have been going through without Malik:
"It's been a tough few weeks, probably the toughest since the band was formed five years ago,"
"We're gutted that Zayn chose to leave, but now after a few performances as a four piece, we're feeling confident and are determined to carry on stronger than ever."
On March 25, Malik announced that he was quitting One Direction via the band's official Facebook page. Malik quit the successful record breaking boy band of the century because of stress, as cited in Billboard.com. The 22-year old singer is allegedly hard at work on a new solo music with producer, Naughty Boy.
The remaining 4 One Direction boys are committed to making fans happy with their music.
Band member, Niall Horan said:
"We're looking forward to seeing all our fans on the tour this year,"
"All we want to do is make them proud and return their faith in us with a brilliant tour and an amazing new album."
The group are currently doing their "On the Road Again" tour as a four piece boyband. US Magazine reported that the boys are scheduled to perform next in Vienna, Oslo and Helsinki. One Direction is also set to perform in a couple of cities in the U.S. for their summer tour.
One Direction has confirmed of a new album in the making in February. Harry Styles said in an interview with The Sun that:
"It's very exciting to be working on our fifth album."
"It shows how incredible the fans have been. A huge thank you to them for everything they've done for us. All the love to them."
Louis Tomlinson gave the band's word to fans about continuing on to make good music, saying:
"All four of us are 100 percent committed to staying in One Direction and we want to thank the fans for being so incredible during this time."
One Direction was formed in 2010 in London, United Kingdom. The music group was originally composed of Louis Tomlinson, Niall Horan, Liam Payne, Harry Styles and Zayn Malik. The group has enjoyed having worldwide sold out albums and concerts through the years.
