The mega-bout between Manny Pacquiao and Floyd Mayweather continues to rake in record-breaking sales.
TMZ Sports reported that a high-end "hospitality service" company based in New York City is offering the very first authentic ringside seats to the super fight. The firm is reportedly selling the seats at $87,500 each.
Oren Partner, the head of Precision Concierge New York (PCNY), said that he has 39 tickets for the Pacquiao-Mayweather bout on May 2, 2015, although he is only physically holding on to two at the moment. The tickets have not been offered to the secondary market. Oren said that he has connections with some of the main people linked to the bout, which landed him the tickets.
Daily Motion reported that Oren has access to seats ranging from upper level to ringside.
TMZ Sports contacted MGM Grand representatives as well as people working at Top Rank and TMT, who said that the tickets are possibly legitimate, although they confirmed that Oren did not get these from them. As for the legitimacy of PCNY itself, the company has been registered as a fully functioning and legitimate business in New York since 2011. Many people in the entertainment industry also vouched for PCNY, which means that boxing fans may finally be able to get a chance to watch the fight of the century live at MGM Grand Arena in Las Vegas.
Based on the TMZ Sports report, below are the other seats with their corresponding prices:
$42,500 each - 2 tickets for Lower 13 Row G (center ring)
$36,500 each - 2 tickets for Lower 13 Row M (center ring)
$23,500 each - 2 to 4 tickets for Lower 15 Row M (just off center ring)
$16,000 each - 2 to 5 tickets for Lower 15 Row T (just off center ring)
$14,650 each - 2 to 4 tickets for Lower 14 Row W (just off Row R
$12,500 each - 2 to 4 tickets for Lower 5 Row R (corner)
$10,100 each - 2 to 4 tickets for Lower 19 Row X (corner ring)
$7,850 each - 2 to 4 tickets for Upper 209 Row L (corner to ringside)
Dubbed the richest fight in the history of boxing, it is only expected that ticket prices would skyrocket, especially in the final weeks leading to May 2.
TheGlobeandMail reported that both Mayweather and Pacquiao promised to give fans the time of their lives and a show worth the price they paid for.
Mayweather said, "Everyone talks about the money, the money, the money. I want the fight to live up to the magnitude that it is. That's what it is really about."
