"NBA 2K15" by 2K Sports did not disappoint but now that the NBA is already past its halfway point, gamers are speculating on the possible details of its successor, "NBA 2K16."
Franchise Herald reported that "NBA 2K16" may likely be released in October 2015 since 2K Sports customarily launches games just before the new NBA season begins. Although there are no confirmations yet, the game for the PlayStation 4 may be available at that time. It will be available on PC, Xbox 36, Xbox One, PlayStation 3, and PS4.
Christian Post reported, however, that the release date for "NBA 2K16" may be pushed back to near the end of 2015. Tweets from the social media accounts of NBA teams revealed that the game might take longer to release. However, there were several sneak peeks provided on Twitter on the basketball stars who may make an appearance in the new title. The Miami Heat posted a number of photos featuring their players going for full body scans for the game at Pixel Gun Studio.
The Brooklyn Nets also shared that they went through the same process. Natalie Tenerelli, a Los Angeles Clippers dancer, tweeted that she also had a full body scan which means that there will be more to expect in the new game.
Based on the same report by Franchise Herald, fans expect a variety of new features in the upcoming title. "NBA 2K15" previously presented the face scan feature, so the next version is predicted to feature a full-body scan. Since the NBA teams already had their players go through the whole scanning process, it can be speculated that better graphics quality will be featured in the sequel.
Furthermore, there are talks that James Harden of the Houston Rockets may be the next cover star of the title, replacing MVP Kevin Durant. Kpopstarz reported that Golden State Warrior Stephen Curry might also be slated to replace Durant on the cover of "NBA 2K16". Russell Westbrook of the OKC Thunder is another name that surfaced with regard the player to be on the cover.
These NBA stars have been garnering a lot of publicity lately because of their stellar plays. Harden is No. 1 in the NBA in points scored, Westbrook is the current leader in points per game while Curry has the highest percentage in three points and free throws.
Fans can only wait for the next revelations leading up to the actual release date.
