Coldplay frontman Chris Martin and Kate Hudson were spotted at a Los Angeles beach on Saturday, fueling rumors that they could be dating.
A bikini-clad Hudson was photographed by the paparazzi talking to Martin, who was wearing a shirt and board shorts, while the two of them lazed under the scorching heat of the sun, according to E! News.
Martin was also spotted surfing while Hudson stayed by the shore and watched him. However, there were no photos of the two acting all sweet and mushy.
At present, it seems that the two single parents, who each have separate homes very near the beach, are nothing but friends.
Hudson and Martin's ex-wife, Gwyneth Paltrow are pretty tight and the former has relied on the latter for advices.
In a previous interview with Harper's Bazaar, as noted by E! News, Hudson revealed that she's a huge fan of Martin's estranged wife and looks up to her.
"I look up to Gwyneth and how she has been in her life. She's the real deal," she said at that time.
Talking about her relationship with Paltrow, Hudson also shared how the actress helped her adjust when she traveled to London.
"She's been my go-to about where to get things done. Grocery shopping, a good mani-pedi, you know, all that," she dished.
In other news, Hudson split from her musician fiancé Matthew Bellamy in December of last year. Prior to their relationship, Hudson was married to The Black Crowes singer Chris Robinson, the Daily Mail reported.
Hudson and Robinson were blessed with an 11-year-old son named Ryder and the actress also shares three-year-old son Bingham with Bellamy.
Martin, meanwhile, shares two children with Paltrow, ten-year-old daughter Apple and eight-year-old son Moses.
Last year, he and Paltrow confirmed their divorce and caused a buzz for dubbing their split "consciously uncoupling." A few months later, the "Sky Full of Stars" hit-maker was linked to the "Hunger Games" star Jennifer Lawrence.
Martin and Lawrence were last spotted at Harry Styles' 21st birthday party in L.A. in February, Just Jared noted.
Several photographs from the One Direction member's party were released online and Martin and Lawrence were one of those featured, sitting and chatting while enjoying a decent meal.
The happy couple's photo emerged amidst Paltrow's recent statements that she regrets giving up on her relationship with Martin. The actress allegedly admitted to wondering whether or not she should have stayed together with her estranged husband, according to the Daily Mail in a separate report.
