Glen "Big Baby" Davis just got divorced but is already on the rebound.
Sports World News reported that the Los Angeles Clippers forward confirmed that he is divorced from his former longtime sweetheart Jenna Gomez. Davis and Gomez wed on December 31, 2013. The two started dating during his NBA rookie season in 2007 to 2008 and has a three-year-old daughter, Amari.
Davis told TMZ, "I am divorced."
"Big Baby" is already back playing the field and has a new model girlfriend, Jasmin Jaye.
Davis was spotted at Mastro's Steakhouse in Beverly Hills on March 8. The 29-year-old NBA player made it clear that they were not going out behind his wife's back, since he is officially single. Glen also added where he met Jaye, which is at a basketball game, and her "big" body part that got him attracted to her initially.
InFlexWeTrust.com reported that the reason for the Davis-Gomez divorce is unclear. Social media fans also believed that Jaye is the reason for the split and the two may have been dating even before the actual divorce happened. Regardless of the backstory, Davis has obviously moved on immediately. As for Jaye, recently, she has been more transparent on social media that he and Davis are indeed dating.
Bossip.com reported, however, that Davis has yet to file the divorce papers in Los Angeles County Courthouse. There is no exact date when Davis and Gomez parted ways.
Jaye is a model based in Los Angeles and was an associate of Draya Michele at one time. She actively models on social media networks, featuring products like healthy teas, clothes and apparel and cosmetics.
Glen Davis is a power forward for the Clippers who is currently in his eighth season in the NBA. He was acquired by the Clippers from the Orlando Magic and re-signed with Los Angeles in July 2014. He played 23 games with the Clippers in 2013 to 2014, and averaged 4.2 points and 3.0 rebounds while playing 13.4 minutes per game. He had his best NBA season the year before that while playing for the Magic.
The 6'9" Davis earned the nickname "Big Baby" at nine years old. It was given to him by his youth league coach. At his young age, he stood 5'6" and weighed 160 pounds. He was too big so he had to play as a senior instead of pee-wee. He would cry when playing with his older teammates. As a result, his coach would tell him, "Stop crying, you big baby."
