Rumors surfaced in late September about Tom Cruise leaving Scientology. The media is adding more grist to the mill by saying that the reason for Cruise's departure is because he wants to win back his ex-wife Katie Holmes.
"Now he's lost the most precious thing in his life, he sees that his Scientology beliefs may not have hurt his box office [success] but have ended not one but two marriages," explained a source, according to the WonderWall.
An avid supporter of Scientology, Cruise has been with the church for more than two decades. It was reported that because of his divorce, he hasn't seen his daughter Suri in more than three months. WonderWall said Cruise attributes the demise of his 6-year marriage to Holmes to Scientology.
He has always used the Scientology techniques, but he has now realize they don't work in marriage," the source said. "She was in love with Tom. He was her childhood crush. It took a lot of strength to break free. But now she has peace of mind but no love."
The source said Katie doesn't want to tie herself down just yet, but she said she's done dating actors.
"Katie's more interested in the quiet life now, and an unassuming artist would fit the bill perfectly for when she's ready," the source said.
People Magazine's last month's cover story said Cruise has been estranged from his 6-year-old daughter Suri for two months.
"I've got to see her," Tom said, according to People. "I miss her."
Suri lives in New York City with her mother Holmes. The couple split in June.
