Sneakerheads are looking forward to February 28, since Nike is set to launch a number of exciting pairs.
The official website revealed that there will be four shoes to be launched on Saturday, namely the Jordan Dub Zero Laser, Nike LeBron 12 "Double Helix", Nike Classic Cortez, and Nike SB Dunk Low Premium "Fast Times."
The Jordan Dub Zero Laser will retail at $185 and will be available at Nike.com, Flight Shop and select Jordan outlets. The sneaker is part of a four-shoe laser pack that commemorates 30 years of Jordan Brand. The shoe is predominantly white with metallic silver accents and icy outsoles. The upper features laser prints and reflective details are visible throughout the shoe.
Nike.com also reported that the Nike LeBron 12 "Double Helix" colorway is also set to launch on February 28 at 10:00 a.m. EST. The sneaker features merlot, volt, pink and metallic silver tones. The new colorway was inspired by the double helix structure of DNA, signifying that basketball is in LeBron James' DNA. The shoe features a hex-zoom outsole, Flywire technology and Megaposite material, among others. The shoe also showcases a merlot upper, pink panels and an icy outsole. It will retail at $200 and will be available at Nike.com, Foot Locker and Eastbay.com.
Complex reported that the Classic Cortez will make a return since its creation 43 years ago in a "Forrest Gump" colorway. The predominantly white shoe features varsity red swoosh and Nike logos and varsity blue streaks on the midsole, giving it the all-American look. The shoe will be available on Nike.com and will be priced at $100.
Kicks on Fire reported that the Nike SB Dunk Low "Fast Times" will also release on February 28. The shoe gives reference to "Fast Times", a Melbourne-based store. It will be the first time for Fast Times to collaborate with Nike. The sneaker features a combination of black synthetic leather overlays, bleached denim throughout, a white midsole, Swoosh and shoelaces and a gum outsole. The shoe also features metallic gold accents on the tongue and insole branding. The pair will be available on Nike.com at a retail price of $105.
Sneaker collectors and basketball players will be lining up early on Saturday to get a chance to get one or more pairs from Nike. Some retail outlets might provide a raffle-type system to provide customers a chance to purchase a pair of the Jordan Dub Zero Laser, depending on the availability.
