The second presidential debate is set for next Tuesday, and Candy Crowley will be the second woman to moderate such debate in 20 years.

The Commission on Presidential Debates (CPD) selected Crowley back in August.

Crowley is an award-winning chief political correspondent for CNN and serves as anchor for State of the Union since February 2010.

According to CNN, "In her role as chief political correspondent, Crowley covers a broad range of stories, including presidential, congressional and gubernatorial races and major legislative developments on Capitol Hill."

The Huffington Post interviewed with Crowley as she prepares for Tuesday's debate and admitted she's feeling the pressure as moderator.

When asked about how it felt to be selected by the CPD, Crowley said, "When I first got the call, it's not like I thought, 'Ooh, wow, I'm a woman, and this is cool!' I've been a woman my whole life. The first thing in my head was, 'Wow, this will be so much fun.' It wasn't until later that the questions started to come, and so that's when I realized that there's this other layer of stuff going on."

According to the CPD, Crowley's debate will follow a town hall meeting format, a contrast to the first and third presidential debate.

The second presidential debate will have citizens asking President Barack Obama and Republican candidate Mitt Romney questions on the themes of foreign and domestic issues.

The questions are prescreened ahead of the debate.

After the citizen asks the question, the candidates have two minutes to respond. An additional minute will be provided by Crowley in order to have a discussion between President Barack Obama and Republican candidate Mitt Romney.

The CPD noted the questionnaires are undecided voters and chosen by the Gallup Organization.

The second presidential debate will be live from Hofstra University in Hempstead, New York starting at 9:01 p.m. EDT.
