Los Angeles is getting busy as stars start to crowd the Dolby Theater in Hollywood for the rehearsals of the 2015 Academy Awards, Los Angeles Times reported.
The Los Angeles Police Department has already shut down some public areas for "bomb-defusing robot on suspicious vehicle steps from the theater on Highland Avenue" Thursday. The authorities have confirmed that there are no threats on the location.
As for the rehearsals, this would be Neil Patrick Harris' first time to host the show with a musical theme. Other presenters include Gwyneth Paltrow, Scarlett Johansson, Kerry Washington and Dakota Johnson. These stars were already spotted making their way to the theater.
Musical features such as Tegan and Sara, Tim McGraw and Lady Gaga were also rehearsing with Oscar producers Neil Meron and Craig Zadan.
These pre-event practices are very important for the planning of the show. But, it could not be denied that last year's highlights were made entirely from spontaneity like John Travolta's mispronunciation of Idina Menzel's name to Adele Dazeem and Ellen DeGeneres' star-studded selfie, noted Los Angeles Times.
The practice is expected to end on Saturday evening. More presenters and performers are expected to pass by Dolby around that time just like Chris Pratt, Ben Affeck, Jennifer Hudson, Jennifer Aniston, Channing Tatum, Kevin Heart, Eddie Murphy, Travolta, Cate Blanchett and Oprah Winfrey.
Washington has been practicing since Wednesady. She was seen in casual attire wearing a pair of blue jeans and heels. She even joked to stage manager Gary Natoli saying, "Oh, it's to the Steadi? It'll still feel like I'm projecting out, right?"
