"Teen Wolf" is definitely back after the casts confirmed they have just started shooting the fifth season of the MTV series, IBTimes reported.
The official Twitter handle of the show, @MTVteenwolf, posted the announcement last Tuesday: "First day of shooting #TeenWolf SEASON 5... Guess where I am right now?!!!?!?" Along with this post was a photograph of their location at the Beacon Hills High school.
So, to prepare for the fifth season, here are 3 major spoilers that have been reported so far.
1. Scott and Kira's relationship will experience more challenges. In an interview with TVLine, Andy Swift talked to "Teen Wolf's" Executive Producer Russell Mulcahy. Mulcahy revealed the fan's favorite love team on the show may still encounter "new conflicts."
"They care for each other and love each other very much, but you know, it's still the early days [of their relationship], so there will always be new conflicts," said Mulcahy.
2. A new hunk is welcomed to the crew. MTV also announced last week the new addition to their cast, Cody Christian. On their official Twitter account, they posted, "It's our pleasure to welcome @ReallyCody to Beacon Hills for Season 5 of #TeenWolf!
Christian will fill in the role of Theo, the charming buff who is new in town. With this profile, it was suggested that he could "shake things up for the true Alpha and his fiercely loyal gang," according to SpoilerTV.
Not an amateur when it comes to filling in roles in TV, Christian has previously played Aria Montgomery's younger brother, Mike, on "Pretty Little Liars." Additionally, he was also a part of "True Blood" and "Grey's Anatomy."
3. Deputy Jordan Parrish's identity will be revealed. Show creator Jeff Davis revealed details about this issue. Deputy Parrish has been a sketchy character since Season 4. During the Aug.18, 2014 episode of the show, Deputy Parrish was identified as The Benefactor. However, his supernatural status is still unknown.
He has survived the fire during the car crash. This suggested that he could also be the Phoenix, according to HollywoodLife. So, the wait could be over in unveiling his true identity.
Ryan Kelley, actor who plays Parrish, also said he had the chance to know Parrish's trueness but he declined to push the question.
"I did have the opportunity to find out what Parrish is, though. I had a sit-down with [creator] Jeff [Davis[, and he asked me if I wanted to know, and I said, 'Of course! Please, please, please," said Kelley in an interview with TVLine late last year.
However, he declined because Davis was "super hesitant." "...I was like, 'Wait, do you want to tell me? Or are you just doing this because you feel bad for me?"
He said he thought he was just a hunter in Season 3. But, with the Phoenix speculation, he said "I don't personally think he's a phoenix, but I could be wrong."
"Teen Wolf" airs every Monday on MTV at 10 p.m. EST.
