The Xbox 720 is still years away, but that does not mean that games are not currently in development for the console.
Back in May, several documents stated that Bungie would be hard at work on a game entitled Destiny which would be released on both the Xbox 360 and its successor the Xbox 720. Back in May, the announcement billed the title as a "sci-fantasy action shooter" and that there would be 4 titles that would be released every other year starting in 2013.
As if having the former creators of the beloved Halo was not enough to get fans excited, the Examiner is reporting that the Destiny titles will also be getting the developer of the critically acclaimed Red Dead Redemption.
Redemption was developed by Rockstar Games senior designer Danny Bulla and it seems that his work on that title impressed Bungie so much that they wanted him to help create the next big Xbox Franchise.
"He's doing some amazing work and, so far, he hasn't tried to lash any of us to a pair of railroad tracks," Bungie said.
Bungie Inc. was acquired in 2000 by Microsoft and created the hit title "Halo: Combat Evolved" to launch with the Xbox. The company would go on to produce two sequels in the hit-selling franchise before breaking from Microsoft in 2007 and establishing itself as an LLC.
There is currently no news on when the next Xbox would be released. Early reports indicated a fall 2013 debut, but it seems that that is uncertain at this point. Other rumors circulating around the new console include a wearable controller.
