Bruce Jenner's transition into a woman has constantly been making headlines, and an insider claimed that his stepdaughter Kim Kardashian was one of the first to find out about it because of her missing lingerie, Radar reported.
Kardashian was the first in the family to address the stories about her stepfather's transition and struggled with gender identity. During a recent interview, she said she had never seen Jenner happier than he is now and even mentioned a "journey" that she felt Jenner should be the one to share to the world instead of her or any other person.
Before she came to accept it though, a source told InTouch that she wasn't too happy about it when she first found out.
"She'd ordered expensive French lingerie but it never arrived. She asked her maid where it was and the maid took her to Bruce's closet and showed her," the source shared. "She was angry."
That anger seemed to have been pushed aside though, as a source close to the family told PEOPLE that Jenner had long since come clean to his family about his desire to become a woman, telling them about his plans for the future and what the family can expect.
"Everyone basically knew what was up, but it was still a shock to hear it outlined so explicitly," the source shared. "They all came around pretty quickly, but each of them had to process it in their own way. All they want is for him to be happy."
Jenner reportedly told all six of his children; Burt and Casey from his first marriage to Chrystie Crownover, Brandon and Brody from his second marriage to Linda Thompson and Kendall and Kylie from his third marriage to Kris Jenner. He also told his ex-wife Kris's four children who he considered his own, Kourtney, Kim, Khloe and Rob.
Jenner's former wife Kris reportedly took the news the hardest at first, before finding support from Kardashian who was said to have had a long conversation with her mother about it, according to Yahoo.
"Once Kim was satisfied that Kris was emotionally okay, she was able to give Bruce her unconditional support," the insider stated.
Scott Disick, partner of Jenner's stepdaughter Kourtney, "didn't react very well" at first, but has now accepted it. Kardashian's husband Kanye West, on the other hand, took the news easily and was "totally fine with it" as he believed in "live and let live" and just wanted Jenner to be happy.
Even Jenner's mother Esther Jenner was supportive of the transition and spoke to USA Today, saying that while it was a surprise at first, she thought her son was brave for stepping out.
"He said, 'Mom, I'm still the same person'," she said. "The family is close and very supportive of Bruce and we're supportive of each other."
She added, "I'm at peace with what he is and what he's doing."
