The New York Yankees are still in Baltimore territory tonight for the second game in the American League Division Series (ALDS).
The Yankees enter tonight's game following their 7-2 victory last night. The win gave the Yanks the first game of three in the ALDS series.
According to MLB.com, Yankees first baseman Mark Teixeira said, "You want one [win], but now we're going to get greedy and ask for two. It's that old cliché, one game at a time. You definitely don't want to lose the first two here, obviously, then you put yourself behind the eight ball going back home. One win's important, but we definitely want that second one tomorrow."
The starting pitcher for Baltimore is Wei-Yin Chen. In the last four starts against the Yankees, Chen is 1-2, striking out 18 with a 5.25 earned run average (ERA) in 24 innings.
Chen is pitching after six days rest but, courtesy of an interpreter, insist the rest won't "confuse" him.
"I just want to do my job and do my part and give everything out there and just pitch the ball," said Chen.
For the Yankees, Andy Pettitte is 19-10 with a 3.83 ERA striking out 173 in 42 starts, considered to be the all-time leader in postseason victories. Since returning from an ankle injury last month, he has only allowed three runs.
The Bleacher Report's Lance Reaves made his prediction for tonight's game.
"It's tough picking against Baltimore this year. The Orioles keep making a habit of winning when they're not supposed to. However, everything adds up to another Yankee victory in Game 2."
He added the final score to be 7-2, for the Yankees.
Tonight's game will broadcast on TBS at 8 p.m. EDT. After tonight's game, the third ALDS game of the series will be set in Yankees territory of The Bronx.
