TNT and Warner Brothers have been keeping quiet on the progress of their upcoming live action-adaptation "Titans," but a recent leak of the series' script may have inadvertently revealed the lineup of heroes that will be appearing on screen, Comic Book reported.
The Teen Titans are a team of teenage superheroes who appear in the DC Comics. The lineup of heroes changed over the years in the comics, but the team of young heroes became popular enough to spawn several video games and animated series, such as Cartoon Network's popular "Teen Titans" series that aired from 2003 to 2006.
TNT managed to nab a pilot for a live-action television adaptation of the series and according to a leak of the script acquired by Nerdist, fans will get to see familiar and popular young heroes coming together in "Titans."
Leading the pack is none other than Dick Grayson, a.k.a. Robin, who has left Batman's side and is now working as a detective in Boston.
Barbara Gordon joins the team, a somewhat new face as she was actually never a member of the Teen Titans in the comics, though she was known to have had a relationship with Dick. In "Titans," she was previously known as Batgirl before ending up in a wheelchair. She now served as the team's resident hacker.
Hawk and Dove, long-standing Titans members in the comics, will be joining Dick. The original duo consisted of brothers Don and Hank Hall, until Don died and was replaced by Dawn Granger as the new Dove. In "Titans," the two will be going with Hank and Dawn, who are expected to be a romantic pairing.
Raven and Starfire are also joining the team, similar to Carton Network's animated version of the series. However, Cyborg and Beast Boy will not be appearing, though if "Titans" gets approved for a full series, Warners might consider having them make an appearance.
There are also rumors of other superheroes appearing on the "Titans," especially if it has plans to cross over with The CW's popular DC-inspired superhero series "Arrow" and "The Flash," according to Screen Rant. However, some claimed it might be unlikely, especially if there was a mismatch between the feel and timeline of both shows.
Also, CBS already turned down rumors of their own superhero series "Supergirl" crossing over with The CW shows, despite the fact that all three shows were being produced by one man, Greg Berlanti.
For now though, TNT and Warner are reportedly concentrating on the progress of the show. Production is slated to begin later this year, so most likely they are still in the midst of planning and concentrating on casting the Titans.
