Universal Pictures recently premiered the official television ad of "Furious 7" during Sunday's Super Bowl game, and it shows just what the franchise is known for: heart-pounding car racing, cool new cars, beautiful women, and gravity-defying action, Cinema Blend reported.
The full teaser trailer for "Furious 7" showed fans just the kind of impossible stunts the movie is going to feature: Dominic Toretto driving his sports car through the window of one skyscraper and crashing through the window of another all while jumping out of his car safe and sound, as well as sports cars skydiving out of the back of an airplane and landing on foreign soil.
As Tej said, "This takes crazy to a whole 'nother level."
Action scenes and explosions are also not going anywhere; Luke Hobbs was seen toting a very large gun, Dominic's home was shown blowing up to smithereens, and cars were either crashing into one another or flipping on their sides and glass shards were flying everywhere.
The trailer however shows one important feature that the characters in the film take to heart, and that's family.
"The most important thing in life will always be family; the people right here, right now," Dominic said.
In this case, the gang is shown reuniting for what may be their last ride as they face off against Deckard Shaw. The man is after the whole gang for playing a part in the death of his younger brother Owen Shaw.
Returning are Vin Diesel, Michelle Rodriguez, Jordana Brewster, Lucas Black, Dwayne Johnson, Tyrese Gibson, Ludacris, Elsa Pataky and more. The late Paul Walker, who played Brian O'Conner in the franchise, will also be making an appearance, according to Screen Rant.
Walker died after a tragic car crash in 2013, but footage of him will still remain in the film, which prompted a short delay and a major rewrite of the script.
Director James Wan probably worked it out however, and was reported to have asked Walker's brothers, Cody and Caleb, to stand in when needed, as well as adding a dose of CGI. It remains to be seen how they managed to work out Walker's exit from the finale, or if it's believable and successful enough.
New faces that will be joining the franchise are Jason Statham, Ronda Rousey, Djimon Hounsou, Kurt Russell, Tony Jaa, Nathalie Emmanuel and more. The script was written by Chris Morgan and Diesel, Neal H. Moritz and Michael Fottrell serve as producers.
"Furious 7" is slated for a theatrical release on April 3, 2015.
