Good news has arrived for Big Time Rush fans, a.k.a. Rushers, as it seems like a reunion is being called by member Carlos PenaVega with bandmates Kendall Schmidt, Logan Henderson and James Maslow, Fanlala reported
The band Big Time Rush was initially created for the Nickelodeon television series "Big Time Rush" that aired from 2009 to 2013. It tells the story of four high school friends from Minnesota who went to Los Angeles to start a boyband. The band is currently on hiatus following the show's end and several solo projects, but it seemed like a reunion is coming soon.
PenaVega sent out a tweet on Wednesday that said, "Yo @jamesmaslow @heffrondrive @1loganhenderson We need to all get together soon!!!!! Like old times!! Miss you dudes. #BigTimeReunion."
Maslow replied the next day, tweeting, "Yes indeed gents. Maybe I can get you kids to the west side! ;)"
Schmidt was quick to retweet PenaVega, while their remaining member Henderson had yet to reply.
Then again, Henderson's last tweet was on Jan. 17, but it was about fellow member PenaVega. He wrote, "My friends @TheCarlosPena and @alexavega have a new movie #SpareParts out today... So go watch it!" so the friendship and support is definitely still there.
The singer also does not tweet as often as his bandmates, according to J-14. However, if the other members of "Big Time Rush" are on board, he's likely to join in on the action as well.
It's been a long time since the members have been seen hanging out together and back in April, Maslow had said that the band was not a priority for the moment given their personal projects.
In fact, one of the last times the band was even spotted with all the members together was back in September, when the members came together in Los Angeles to support Schmidt and Dustin Belt during Heffron Drive's performance at the House of Blues, according to Fanlala.
Since then though, some of the members have been seen together, such as Schmidt and Maslow supporting the premiere of PenaVega's "Spare Parts" in Hollywood earlier this month, according to Just Jared Jr. They also occasionally tweet "#BigTimeThrowback" photos of the band members together, according to BSCKids.
A lot of time has passed since the band was together though, and while a "Big Time Reunion" might be good for the members to start hanging out again as friends, Rushers are probably hopeful it might lead to talks about a musical comeback.
For now though, fans have no choice but to wait and see and maybe reminisce and listen to "Boyfriend" and "Music Sounds Better with U."
