Da Brat has been very quiet since being released from a three-year prison stint last year, but the rapstress re-emerged today on Twitter because of rumors that she defended Mariah Carey against Nicki Minaj.
Minaj and Carey have been all over the news due to a recent blowup on the set of "American Idol."
Tweets such as "LOL at #DaBrat DEFENDING #MariahCarey but not @LilKim," from @DarriccLondon, and "I just saw that RT "@DarriccLondon: @NickiMinaj just DISSED#DaBrat!!!!" by germanyblanco made Da Brat a worldwide trending topic.
So, what exactly did she say about Minaj? Absolutely nothing.
"I was just sent a blog of some bullsh*t someone said I tweeter. I have NOT made any comments about the situation," said DaBrat on her Twitter today. "Nicki nor Mariah has ever disrespected me so I would not disrespect either of them."
Minaj went on a Twitter rant today calling Carey "Shady McGrady."
"All I do is compliment u. That's not enuff? Ur a legend, cheer up. U don't have to run down ur resume or feel intimidated. Shady McGrady," said Minaj.
Minaj then apologized to Da Brat, who is close friends with Carey, saying "Oop sorry brat. Sh*t is real in the field. Pls accept my apology," said Minaj.
Today on "The View," Barbara Walters said she spoke with Carey, who told her she was OK after Minaj's blowup in Charlotte, N.C., but she was going to hire extra security. She also told Walters Minaj said if she had a gun, she would shoot her.
Minaj, in her true form, then took to Twitter to insult Walters: "Barbara Walters didn't reach out from our team barbz," she tweeted. "I guess we're too dangerous. Don't shake if u don't wanna get shook!!!! LmAooooooooooo."
